I want to host an au pair for 2 months in the summer and from what I understand and none of the au pair agencies will process the J1 visa for 2 months, only for 12 months. I think I can find the au pair myself, but have not been able to find out how I can process a 2 month J1 visa for them. All the sites say that I need to process via a designated sponsor (list of 13 agencies) but NONE of them will process for 2 months only. How can I process this visa - would I do it via an immigration lawyer?
Thanks

I would like to know if it would be possible to transfer schools without having to obtain another visa. I was in the U.S studying aviation but am now bak in my home country in Zimbabwe, and am looking to enroll in another school there in the U.S. but i will still be doing aviation but doing a degree on the side. I have a j1 visa in my passport at the moment and it expires next year july.
